Introduction/Hahndorfcrest_H.jpg

HAHNDORF is a small historic town of Germanic origin located in the Adelaide Hills Region of South Australia, Australia.

This project ('The Hahnwiki') is a combined interconnected community effort documenting, exploring and discussing anything and everything concerning the town. It is also a resource for organisations, clubs, individuals, and others within the overall community, plus a central resource with links to most external non-commercial sites with some relevance to the town.

The Introduction sets out the scope, objectives and restrictions associated with 'The Hahnwiki'.

ST NICHOLAS COMES TO HAHNDORF - Friday 5th December 2008 at 6.00pm

The St Nicholas Parade will begin at St Paul’s Lutheran Church Hall, where children of the community are invited to join in craft activities, including colouring, decorating the St Nicholas boot, and preparing a Christmas wish!
This is one of the traditions of St Nicholas, where children received a gift in a boot from St Nicholas. A large boot will again be part of the Parade.
All are invited to come and join in with the fun on Friday 5th December at 6.00pm at St Paul’s Church hall, and to see the procession leave St Paul’s at 7.00pm.
The Parade will be led by the Hahndorf Town Band and will conclude at the Academy where everyone can join in with the community carol singing.
The children will receive a gingerbread man, and the adults can enjoy tea, coffee and scones, with entertainment from the Hahndorf Town Band.
COME AND JOIN IN THE CELEBRATION!
